MY NAME IS SABAR

I worked with environmental scientist Tawny Buck to create a hand-drawn 2D animation, raising awareness for the Orangutan Information Centre and the Bukit Mas Permaculture Centre in Northern Sumatra.

The concept of the animation was to tell the story of Sabar, who survived the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami. After losing his parents in the disaster, Sabar was supported by the IDEP foundation in Bali, which helps communities recover from natural and man-made disasters.

In 2015, Sabar joined the Orangutan Information Centre in 2015, a non-profit conservation organisation dedicated to protecting critically endangered Sumatran and Tapanuli orangutans and their forest habitats.
